Ascribing Artists

    
"Empty Tomb Graphics" started as it seemed like a whisper as I awoke early one morning during March of 2000. Normally one of those fleeting thoughts you dismiss or forget altogether and can't seem to recall. This time was different as it grew louder with the passing of time. I wrestled for the next two years with what became increasingly clearer. During that time, I was working as a supervisor in a publicatons department and leaving to start an advertising business just didn't add up. As time went on the idea became inescapable and I was faced with either staying miserably in the familiar or stepping excitedly out in faith. So, in June of 2002 I resigned and walked away to follow after my Lord and Savior wherever He leads.

Shortly thereafter the Lord placed "Ascribing Artists" on my heart. The logo is inspired by Psalm 29, "Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name", and shows that we are to be "A Reflection of His Glory" in all that we do.

Right now Ascribing Artists exists mainly to give Christian artists another avenue to "Ascribe to the Lord". The main goal being to give to the Lord "the glory due to his name" by offering a place for artists who want to express this desire.

At a basic level, it's free promotion for the artist. I see it as a spring-board for artists who don't have a high-ranking website or just need another place of visibility. It is my prayer that some of the many visitors to the Empty Tomb Graphics website might be lead to "The Artists" page and see someone who could meet a fine art need they might have and in doing so support the artist. Hopefully as time passes, it will also create a sense of community, the ability to network with other like-minded individuals and be a source of encouragement.

In the future, we may offer artists an ascribing email address, galleries, a place to sell art/prints and possibly their own website as well as forums, classes and promotional items.

If you would like to be considered as an Ascribing Artist please email your name, a brief description of your work including two JPEG samples (no greater than 600 pixels wide or high) and any contact information you want posted (phone, email and/or website) to ascribe@emptytombgraphics.com.
